3D Printing Resources

I'll update this post from time to time with products that I've found useful in my printing endeavors. This is just a partial list of the many items that go into creating 3D projects, from design and prototyping to finished items.

Filament:

Siraya Tech Fibreheart PPA-CF

If you haven't tried PPA yet, it is amazing! I'm currently using it with vehicle parts for very high strength and durability.

SUNLU TPU High Speed 95A TPU

Works great for all kinds of flex needs. Even though it is sold as "high speed" I still find the best results after drying are achieved with volumetric speeds reduced by about 30%.

used to print:
Metal Bar Stool Pad

Fasteners:

M10 Square Nuts - IMScrews 304 Stainless Steel Square Nuts - Durable Fasteners for Home Repairs and Professional Engineering Pack of 10

M10 Square Nuts, Stainless Steel

I've been using these a lot on cargo accessories with T-slots for garage and truck projects. They are a little narrow for the T-slots on my Küat Ibex rack system, but I designed a very quick-printing spacer that drops in around each nut and they have held great in use on my truck rack all summer long!

Cargo Rack Handle

Kozelo 10pcs Socket Head Cap Screws - [M10-1.5 x 16mm] 304 Stainless Steel Allen Socket Drive for Electrical Motor 3D Printing Fan Engine Replacement Use, Silver

M10 Socket Head Cap Screws

I've been using these a lot on cargo accessories with T-slots for garage and truck projects. They work perfectly with the SS square nuts and my 3DP spacers, but you may find you need a different length dependent on your project.

Cargo Rack Handle

Swpeet 107Pcs 6 Sizes M4 M5 M6 M8 M10 M14 Square Weld Nuts Assortment Kit, Square UNC Coarse Carbon Steel Machine Screw, Welding Nuts Fasteners for Furniture Vehicles Caster and Industry Machine

M3 Screw Kit, 620 pieces

I bought this kit 18 months ago and have found it very useful. Mainly for various 3DP projects, but the small fasteners have come in handy for a few home and vehicle projects as well. The 12.9 grade has been strong enough for everything (but one bad RC car crash, but that's another story). The lengths 6-20mm have covered all of my M3 fastener needs so far.

Magnets:

I use magnets for all kinds of prints. Embedded, press-fit, and glue-in-place all work well depending on the nature of the print and application!

10x2mm magnets

Other:

2x3 Inch Velcro Strips with Adhesive

I've been using these to make gear and sorting patches.

Nut and Bolt Thread Checker

Great for working with all kinds of fasteners!

Torch Lighters, 2 Pack

Very handy around the house in general and great in the workshop. I use a quick flame to melt messy filament threads on draft prints.

works with:
Round Tool Stand
